Cineflix slates JFK wedding doc

MIPDOC: UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights is launching a feature doc containing unseen footage of the wedding of JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette to buyers at Mipdoc and MipTV this week.

JFK Jr & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding (working title) is being produced by Critical Content in the US for Discovery-owned cablenet TLC.

The 1×120’ doc begins with the top secret, 1996 wedding ceremony of John F Kennedy Jr to Carolyn Bessette. For the first time, 20 years after the couple lost their lives in a plane crash, the documentary takes viewers inside their ceremony with never-before-seen footage.

Celebrity wedding guests, friends, and family will provide commentary for the film which Cineflix is shopping to buyers as part of its unscripted slate in Cannes this week.

The deal was brokered by Giuliana Benvenuto, acquisitions manager for North America at Cineflix Rights.
