Cineflix signs up First 48’s Robie

Canadian production outfit Cineflix Media has signed a first-look deal with Alexis Robie, executive producer of A&E series The First 48.

Under the multi-year deal, Cineflix will have the first option to produce original unscripted content developed by Robie through his newly formed shingle Coronet Productions.

The firm’s UK-based distribution arm, Cineflix Rights, will have the exclusive first-look to distribute Robie’s content, which will focus on true crime, justice and access-driven programming for North American networks.

As well as The First 48 and its spin-off The First 48 Presents: Homicide Squad Atlanta, Robie’s credits include A&E’s The Killer Speaks and The Case that Haunts Me, Biography Channel’s The Interrogators, Discovery Channel’s Carfellas, HGTV’s Selling New York and ABC’s Wife Swap.
