Cineflix Productions names new president

Canada’s Cineflix Media has appointed JC Mills as president and commercial director of Cineflix Productions, as incumbent Charles Tremayne becomes chair of Cineflix Content Group.

Mills, who is based in New York, joins Cineflix from Glass Entertainment Group where he was president and general manager.

Under his tenure at Glass, he expanded the group’s content portfolio to 12 networks and platforms while producing more than 160 episodes of series including CNN’s Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History and Animal Planet’s The Vet Life.

Prior to working at Glass, Mills represented prodcos, writers, directors and showrunners of non-fiction content as an agent at ICM Partners, before which he worked as director of development at National Geographic and at Shine International.

Mills’ appointment comes as current president Tremayne moves to the role of chair of Cineflix Content Group. In addition, he will start his own production company in partnership with Cineflix Media.
