Cineflix makes Middle Eastern sales

Israeli channel Yes is among several Middle Eastern networks to have picked up factual shows from independent UK distributor Cineflix Rights.

Yes has taken the first two 14×60’ seasons of The History of Comedy, which features archival footage and current interviews with comedy personalities such as Carol Burnett and Larry David. Herzog & Company and Hazy Mills Productions produce the show.

Meanwhile, Talit Communications-owned Israeli network Home+ has picked up Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House (5×60’) from Scott Brothers Entertainment.

The series is the latest from Cineflix Rights’ Property Brothers franchise, with Home+ also taking the seventh season (26×60’) of the original Cineflix Productions show.

In addition, Israel’s Channel 8 has taken The Pacemakers (1×60’), made by Bungalow Town Productions. The show tells the story of a group of men over the age of 90 pursuing their dream of becoming world-class athletes.

Finally, Manoto TV, the Farsi-language free-to-air satellite channel based in London, has acquired two shows. Muhammad Ali: A Life (1×60’) is made by Mukahari Media and looks back at the life and career of the boxer.

The network has also taken seasons four to eight of The Little Couple (69×60’), produced by LMNO Productions in the US. The show follows the lives of Bill Klein and Jen Arnold, who are four feet tall.
