Cineflix content bound for China’s BiliBili

BiliBili.com’s package includes The Detectives Club

ATF: Chinese VoD platform BiliBili.com has acquired more than 160 hours of factual programming from UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights.

BiliBili has picked up seasons one to three of 1,000 Days for the Planet (22×60’), which is produced by Glacialis Productions, and all of The Detectives Club (6×60’), produced by Cineflix Productions, ahead of Asia Television Forum in Singapore.

Other series included in the package are seasons one, two and four of Cineflix Productions’ Food Factory (78×30’); A Big LEGO Christmas and The Secret World of LEGO (both 1×60’), from UK producer Waddell Media; The Day Hitler Died and The Day Kennedy Died (both 1×60’), from Scotland-based Finestripe Productions; and Buy It, Fix It, Sell It (S1, S2, 20×30’) from Canadian prodco Frantic Films.

Elsewhere, TVB in Hong Kong acquired wildlife series Mountains & Life (6×60’), from Welsh prodco Green Bay Media, and World’s Weirdest Animal Faces (3×60’), produced by Wildbear Entertainment in Australia. Mediacorp Singapore has picked up natural history programmes World’s Best Beaches (6×60’), also from Wildbear, and Rogue Earth (2×60’) from Pixcom.

All the deals were closed by Chris Bluett, VP of sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux at Cineflix Rights.
