Cineflix appoint COO

Cineflix Media has Andrew Akman to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

He brings over 15 years of industry experience, with past posts including VP of planning at Shaw Media and senior VP at Canwest Broadcasting – a role in which he was responsible for the integration of Alliance Atlantis.

Akman will be responsible for overseeing Cineflix’s corporate operations, as well as setting up those of partnerships and acquisitions. He’s based in Cineflix’s Toronto office and reports to co-CEOs Katherine Buck and Glen Salzman.
