Chinese docs go through Looking Glass

Australian distributor Looking Glass International (LGI) has acquired a trio of blue-chip wildlife films focusing on China from Singapore-based production outfit IFA Media.

Tibet: The Third Pole, China’s Secret World and Made in China (all 1×80’) have been added to LGI’s slate of wildlife docs.

They will be launched by the distributor at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival in Wyoming this month and then on offer at Mipcom in October.

IFA partnered with factual specialist prodco China Intercontinental Communication Centre on the series, which reveal the unusual wildlife that exist only in China’s impressive landscapes.

Tibet: The Third Pole examines the wildlife fighting for survival on the Tibetan plateau, while China’s Secret World focuses on small creatures that exist unnoticed in close proximity to humans. Made in China, meanwhile, looks at rare animals unique to the country.

The films are executive produced by Emmy-winning producer Karen Bass. The deal was brokered by LGI’s founder and CEO Nha-Uyen Chau.
