China’s Viva preps France Mon Amour

China-based channels operator Viva is to add a network that explores France’s culture, history, art and products.

France Mon Amour will launch on Viva on December 18 with programming tailored to a Chinese audience.

“Programmes and films broadcasted on France Mon Amour will be modern, entertaining and adapted to patterns of audiovisual content consumption in China,” said Frédéric Lepage, who has co-founded the channel alongside Viva chairman Henry Han.

Lepage is a filmmaker and producer of programmes for broadcasters including France Télévisions and National Geographic, while Han is also co-founder of software company AsiaInfo.
