Channel 5 adds Stellify to new Wish List

Channel 5 in the UK has commissioned a reboot of a former BBC1 gameshow from Sony-backed Belfast prodco Stellify Media.

Win Your Wish List has been greenlit for a 7×60’ run in the Viacom-owned network’s Saturday night primetime schedule.

Stellify Media previously rebooted former ITV format Blind Date for C5, marking a return to entertainment formats in Saturday prime for the channel, and more recently worked on the return of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? for ITV.

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo will front the show, which sees five members of a family compete to win their individual list of perfect prizes, when it launches this summer.

Stellify Media, formed in 2014 is a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television and joint MDs Kieran Doherty and Matthew Worthy. You can read C21’s recent Pro interview with Doherty here.

C5 has also commissioned Banijay-owned IWC and Motion Content Group to produce travel series , Secret Scotland With Susan Calman (working title).

The 5×60’ series will see the Scottish comedian and TV presenter exploring her homeland, looking at the country’s history and character.

It was commissioned by head of factual Guy Davies and will be executive produced by Gerard Costello at IWC and Melanie Darlaston at Motion Content Group.

In related news, C5 has picked up preschool animated series Pirata & Capitano (52×11’) from French producer Millimages for its morning Milkshake! Kids’ block.

The series is a coproduction between public broadcasters France Télévisions and Italy’s Rai.

The show focuses on Pirata, the captain of her own ship The Pink Skull, and her best friend, seaplane pilot Capitano.
