Channel 4 tests out UK border security

The UK’s Channel 4 has commissioned a documentary series about Britain’s border security ahead of Brexit.

Smuggled (working title, 2×60’) will look at how effective Britain’s border security is.

Several ordinary British citizens will attempt to smuggle themselves from a variety of locations around continental Europe back into Britain without using their passports while trying to evade Border Force authorities altogether.

Smuggled is produced by ScreenDog Productions, whose co-founder Ed Kellie will exec produce alongside David Modell, while the series producer is Tom Stone.

“Our borders fuel fiery debate, but little is known about how secure they really are. The best way to truly find out is to try to break through,” Kellie said.
