Channel 10 takes Hostages

Channel 10 has emerged as the Israeli broadcaster of scripted drama format Hostages, which will begin airing after the US version has made its debut on CBS.

The channel will air the local version of Hostages, starring Ayelet Zurer (Man of Steel) in October. The Israeli format tells the story of a top surgeon whose family are seized by masked men after she is chosen to perform surgery on the president.

The US version, from exec producer Jerry Bruckheimer, is set to air later this month and has also been picked up by Channel 4 in the UK.

Meanwhile, the original format, produced by Chaim Sharir, will be distributed by Armoza Formats as both a format and a finished product.
