Change atop Venevision Studios

Cisneros Media has appointed a VP of operations at its Venevision Studios production outfit following the retirement of the division’s president and CEO.

Juan Carlos Sosa will oversee Cisneros’ Florida-based production studios and supervise all production operations at the company’s facilities across the US and Venezuela.

The move comes after Peter Tinoco, the unit’s president and CEO, announced his retirement on November 5.

Sosa will report to newly-appointed Cisneros Media president Jonathan Blum and will help him manage relationships with broadcasters.

He joined Cisneros in 1994, as part of the telecommunications company Americatel Sistemas de Comunicación, a partnership with Motorola, where he held such positions as marketing and sales manager, GM, and ultimately director of telecommunications.
