Chained returns to E4

Endemol's bizarre dating format Chained is to return to UK screens, after a second season renewal deal from Channel 4's sister channel E4.

Greenlit by E4's Anjela Jain, the 16×30' series is exec produced by Endemol UK's Dominic English and will air in spring 2002.

The format calls for one person to be chained up to five hopeful suitors each week. They are then videoed through the course of the week, with one suitor selected for a proper date. The picker must decide to keep the prize cash or share it with their date.

With an internationbal name Chains of Love, the format has been sold by Endemol's Dutch parent into Australia, Holland and the US. The UK deal is belived to be the first renewal.
