Celestial Tiger agrees Asian carriage

Pan-Asian channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has agreed four regional carriage deals, including its first in Taiwan.

FTV’s OTT service Four Seasons and VoD provider LiTV will carry Chinese movie net Celestial Classic Movies (CCM) in Taiwan, while Singaporean distributor Catchplay is offering Celestial Movies (CM).

Meanwhile, Hong Kong‘s free-to-air broadcaster TVB will offer CCM, action entertainment-focused KIX and horror channel Thrill for its OTT service myTV SUPER.

KIX and Thrill will be offered both as linear streaming channels and as branded on-demand services, while CCM will be offered as a linear streaming channel only.

Todd Miller, CTE’s CEO, said the company was moving “rapidly to address the growing demand for over-the-top services of our channels. All six of our main channel brands are available as OTT services and these carriage deals are just the beginning of our OTT expansion.”
