CCTV captures UYoung toon trio

Educational show Messy Goes to Okido

State-owned Chinese broadcaster CCTV has picked up three series for kids’ channel CCTV-14 from children’s and family entertainment company UYoung.

CCTV has acquired three seasons of Mia & Me (78×22′) plus two seasons of Messy Goes to Okido (78×11′) and Space Racers (90×11′).

From Studio 100 Media, Mia & Me tells the story of 12-year-old Mia as she has to find her way in the real world while also saving Centopia, a magical world of elves and unicorns.

Messy Goes to Okido, meanwhile, is an educational comedy adventure series produced by Doodle Productions and Eye Present in the UK. It follows a curious monster called Messy as he finds the answers to everything a three- to five-year-old child wants to know.

Finally, Space Racers, produced by Space Race LLC, follows the cadets of Stardust Space Academy on their mission to explore earth, the solar system and the universe.

These sales follow the recent deal for Kazoops, which CCTV acquired from from UYoung last year.
