CBS, Fox Sweden sign pact

Fox International Channels (FIC) Sweden has struck a multi-year deal with CBS Studios International giving it broadcast rights to new series including Madam Secretary and Scorpion.

The agreement includes broadcast rights to first-run series, as well as other select content produced by the studio.

Fox will exclusively air political drama Madam Secretary on December 1, followed by FBI series Scorpion in early 2015.

The pact also includes broadcast rights to forthcoming sitcom The Odd Couple, starring Friends actor Matthew Perry. The show will be released in he US in 2015 and will premiere on Fox Sweden shortly afterwards.

The deal also extends its rights to reruns of series including The Good Wife and Numb3rs and includes non-linear rights. These will be offered through the non-linear and video-on-demand services provided by Fox distributors in Sweden.

Fox is owned by 21st Century Fox and launched in Sweden in September.
