Live-action factual entertainment show My World Kitchen (30×11′) comes from London-based Terrific Television and aims to enable children to cook from scratch while teaching them about where food comes from.

Waffle the Wonder Dog (30×11′), meanwhile, is a comedy drama from Topsy & Tim producer Darrall Macqueen that tells the tale of the world’s worst puppy, which brings chaos to the blend family he is brought into.

Gudrun the Viking Princess (20×5′) is a docudrama series that mixes wildlife and landscapes with Viking history and comes from Glasgow-based Maramedia.

Meanwhile, CBeebies has ordered Feeling Better (25×15′), which aims to teach preschoolers more about emotions, from its in-house production team in Scotland.

Biggleton (25×11′) from in-house CBeebies team in Salford, is a live-action series in which a young cast roleplay different jobs and explore what it means to be part of a community.

The previously announced series Pablo, which follows a young boy with autism and is due to air later in 2017, has already been re-commissioned, along with drama Apple Tree House.

“This range of new commissions for CBeebies shows the rich diversity of programming on the channel as CBeebies continues to encourage children to explore the world around them, as well as empowering, engaging and enthralling our young viewers,” said Kay Benbow, controller of CBeebies.
