NOS, part of the Dutch public broadcasting system, will air a local version of Operation Ouch, which has also recently been commissioned for a fourth season by its UK broadcaster CBBC.

London-based Serious Lunch holds worldwide rights to the series outside the UK and has previously sold episodes of the UK version to Discovery Asia and ABC Australia, while DR in Denmark has taken format rights.

Produced by All3Media-owned prodco Maverick Television, the series has won best children’s factual entertainment show at the Bafta Children’s Awards for two years running.

It sees identical twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand experiment and explore the world of medicine and biology to show and explain the surprising things that our bodies can do.
