NEWS BRIEF: UK-based kids’ channel CBBC has greenlit a seventh season of tween drama The Next Step, from Toronto-based Boat Rocker Studios

The 26×30’ seventh run will begin with a two-part holiday special at the end of 2019 and then a full season in 2020. The series follows the competition and relationships between dancers at The Next Step Dance Studio and has been sold around the world.
