CBBC picks up BKN toon

In the UK, Children’s BBC (CBBC) has picked up BKN International’s animated series UBOS (aka The Ultimate Book of Spells).

The BBC has picked up all 52×22′ episodes of the fantasy adventure series, which will begin airing on a weekly basis starting in the autumn.

{With CBBC on-board, and tremendous interest in this show across Europe and the US, UBOS is proving to be one of our most successful properties since launching our two animation studios,{ said Leslie Nelson, BKN’s managing director of television sales.

UBOS revolves around a sassy and resourceful junior witch who, along with her two 'gifted' male classmates, is destined to rescue the world's magic from a ruthless wizard.

{UBOS is a magical adventure where children are the heroes and central to the developing plot,{ said Theresa Plummer-Andrews, head of acquisitions and co-productions for CBBC.

To date, CBBC’s acquisitions from BKN include Pocket Dragon Adventures, Roswell Conspiracies and Monster Rancher.
