The studio will consist of Zodiak-owned French production companies Marathon Media and Tele Images Productions and UK-based The Foundation, where Carrington is currently CEO.

The kids’ TV veteran, who joined the company from Hit Entertainment last year, will now take up the newly created role of CEO at Zodiak Kids Studios (ZKS).

Jean-Philippe Randisi, who was named Zodiak Kids’ first CEO in June 2014, will continue to head up the division overall, including Zodiak Kids Distribution and Consumer Products.

As part of the reshuffle, Marathon Media chief creative officer Eryk Casemiro has been given the same title at ZKS and will oversee Zodiak Kids’ development teams in France and the UK.

Meanwhile, Gwen Hughes, MD of The Foundation, and BenoÎt Runel, MD of Zodiak Kids in France, become MDs of the UK and French branches of ZKS, respectively.

Some of the titles produced by the prodcos under the ZKS banner include Floogals (52×11′), which airs in the US on Sprout, the CBeebies show Mister Maker (137×20′), and Get Blake! (52×11′), which launched on Nickelodeon this spring.

“In Zodiak Kids Studios we are combining our best creative and production talents across Paris and London to create one single pipeline of Zodiak Kids properties with global appeal and to strengthen our leadership in Europe and beyond,” said Randisi.

Carrington added: “Going forward we will focus our efforts through a single strategy to help us leverage and align the strengths and diversity of all three companies, improving our development and production capability, and working with more collaboration and agility to deliver on Zodiak Kids commitment to creative excellence.”
