Canal+ elects to continue Baron Noir

Baron Noir has been sold into Germany and Australia

French pay operator Canal+ has ordered a second season of local prodco Kwaï’s political thriller Baron Noir.

The show, created and written by Eric Benzekri and Jean-Baptiste Delafon (Maison Close), follows a French politician who plots with colleagues, police and criminals to topple his former boss after he is sacrificed during the election campaign.

The series is sold by StudioCanal and has been picked by Sony Entertainment Television for Germany, as well as SBS in Australia, Amazon Prime in the UK and Walter Presents in the US.
