Cake, Triggerfish recruit Mama K’s Super 4

Mama K’s Super 4 was created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema

UK children’s entertainment specialist Cake will partner with South African studio Triggerfish Animation to coproduce a new action-comedy series.

Mama K’s Super 4 (26×22’) is a 2D animation aimed at six- to 11-year-olds and sees four teenage girls recruited by a former secret agent to help her save the world.

Triggerfish (Stick Man, Revolting Rhymes) will partner with Cake to further develop, finance and produce the project. Cake will lead the international roll-out and distribution.

Created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, Mama K’s Super 4 pays comic homage to the superhero genre and draws visual inspiration from 90s R&B and hip-hop girl groups.
