Cake eyes sales with Kiri & Lou

Kiri & Lou

UK children’s entertainment producer and distributor Cake is preparing to launch a paper- and clay-based stop-motion animation show at Mipcom next month.

Kiri & Lou (52×5′), which teaches children about kindness and empathy, is aimed at three- to six-year-olds and follows a feisty dinosaur and its thoughtful best friend.

The show, sold globally by Cake, is set to air on TVNZ in New Zealand and on Canada’s CBC next year, as well as via Chinese media company Wow Dadi. It is produced by Fiona Copland for animation brand Stretchy and Heather Walker of Yowzer Animation.

Cake’s other Mipcom shows include the prequel to hit animated series Total Drama, which is being launched at the Cannes market next month.
