The Man With Another Man’s Arms

MIPDOC: Channel 5 in the UK has ordered a one-off special that follows the story of a US Marine who underwent a ground-breaking bilateral arm transplant.

The Man With Another Man’s Arms (1×60′) is from Barcroft Studios and explores the story of US Marine Sergeant John Peck who, in 2010, lost both his arms and legs while serving in Afghanistan.

Dissatisfied with his prosthetics, Peck put himself forward for ground-breaking surgery and after a donor was found underwent a bilateral arm transplant.

Guy Davies commissioned the film for C5. Executive producers are Peter Wyles and Lizzie Wingham for Barcroft Studios, while Richie Carr filmed and directed the show. ITV Studios has global distribution rights outside the UK.

Barcroft Studios is heading to MipTV next week with a slate of programming including Channel 4 film Sleeping With the Far Right and new digital series including Too Fat to Dance, Homes on the Edge, Love Don’t Judge and Sickest Eats.
