C5 orders full steam ahead for QE2 doc

Inside the QE2 Hotel was filmed using exclusive access to the ship

ViacomCBS-owned UK broadcaster Channel 5 has commissioned factual miniseries Inside the QE2 Hotel from London-based indie Spun Gold.

The 3×60’ docuseries uses exclusive access to The Queen Elizabeth 2 to explore the ocean liner’s new life as a five-star floating hotel in Dubai while it undergoes a multi-million-pound refit.

Inside the QE2 Hotel is coproduced by Spun Gold and Motion Content Group, with Juliet Rice and Melanie Darlaston exec producing and Rebecca Nunn on board as series producer. Passions Distribution will handle international sales.
