C5 calls Trauma Doctors

The UK’s Channel 5 has commissioned a medical observational documentary series set in one of London’s busiest hospitals.

Cineflix Productions is working on Trauma Doctors (4×60′), which will focus on the work of the doctors and air ambulance team at the Royal London Hospital in the heart of the city’s East End.

The hospital has dealt with everything from road accidents to the 7/7 terrorist attacks and staff have to make quick-fire decisions to save the lives of their patients.

The series was commissioned by Channel 5’s head of factual, news and current affairs Andrew O’Connell and will premiere in April. It will be distributed internationally as Trauma Investigators by Cineflix Rights.
