C4’s Maxwell joins Drama Summit

CONTENT LONDON: Channel 4’s head of international drama Simon Maxwell has joined the line-up for the International Drama Summit, part of Content London which takes place November 29 to December 1.

Maxwell will discuss C4’s coproduction strategy, which he is responsible for spearheading, at the event. Recent successes include Humans, the channel’s first major copro with AMC, which achieved record ratings.

He has since overseen a range of new commissions including the upcoming 10-part anthology series Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K Dick, penned by Ron D Moore and a team of A-list writers and produced by Sony Pictures Television, with Bryan Cranston.

Maxwell was formerly head of scripted at Red Arrow Entertainment, where he developed and produced drama for the international market including 13-part international thriller Odyssey for NBC.

He was also head of film and TV at Greenroom Entertainment and produced a number of projects including movie Killing Bono, for which he co-wrote the screenplay.
