C4 to follow Beeny’s Life in the Country

Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a series featuring property expert Sarah Beeny from UK-based Tin Roof Media’s Outline Productions.

Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country (8×60’) will follow Beeny and her family as they leave London to live in the countryside, where they plan to build a house on the plot of a semi-derelict former dairy farm they have acquired.

Laura Mansfield and Helen Veale are exec producing, while Guy Gilbert is series producer and director. Jonathan Profaska also directs, while Isa Campbell is production executive. The series is distributed by Hat Trick International.

Kate Thomas, commissioning editor for Channel 4, said: ‘This sunny, escapist and hugely feel-good series taps directly into the daydreams that are, now more than ever, keeping us all going – a longing for a simpler, slower way of life, closer contact with family and a more meaningful relationship with nature.

“These things have a real resonance right now, and as Sarah and her family guide us through their own journey, which has a few daunting challenges along the way, I hope our audience will feel both comforted and inspired.”
