C4 takes Gay Dog for a walk

Channel 4 in the UK has commissioned a one-off documentary investigating homosexual behaviour in animals.

My Gay Dog & Other Animals (working title) is being produced by UK indie Arrow Pictures, and looks into some of the 1,500 animal species that display homosexual behaviour.

It is being executive produced by Nick Metcalfe at Arrow, and was commissioned by Siobhan Sinnerton for the commercially funded public broadcaster. Canada’s Blue Ant Media will distribute.

Arrow Pictures was formed when London-based Arrow Media split into two sister labels, Arrow Pictures and Arrow Media, under the Arrow International Media banner in December.

Arrow Pictures aims to build on Arrow co-founder John Smithson’s track record of award-winning, big-budget content, focusing on feature films, feature docs and high-end series and serials. Smithson is its creative director.
