Derren Brown: The Push will air in January and tests the psychological secrets of obedience and social compliance. The special will explore human’s natural instinct to obey instructions without question and explore how far the tendency can be pushed.

The UK channel has also ordered Eden (working title) from Keo Films, which will air in 2016 and follows 20 highly skilled people for a year as they try to build a new life with the bare minimum needed to survive, creating their own shelter, society and rules.

The group will be cut off from the rest of the world, with the show filmed by embedded crew, personal cameras and a fixed rig. It’s the second show from C4 named Eden, with the first a survival reality series set in Australia that aired in 2002.

Finally Objective Productions is producing spoof tabloid news series Britain Today, Tonight (w/t) starring actor and comic Kayvan Novak for C4. The show, along with The Push and Eden, have been commissioned by Liam Humphreys, head of factual entertainment, and Ben Caudell, head of entertainment.
