C4, Kosminsky prep cyber warfare drama

The team behind BBC hit drama Wolf Hall have teamed up again on a series about cyber warfare for UK public broadcaster Channel 4.

The Undeclared War (working title) is being developed by UK- and US-based prodco Playground and writer-director Peter Kosminsky.

The show is being planned as a 10-part returning series, making it Kosminsky’s first returning drama.

He will write and direct the first three and the final episode of the series, which will focus on the undeclared cyber confrontation between the key state players in a present day Cold War.

The Undeclared War is being developed for drama chief Beth Willis at C4 and will be produced by Playground.

Kosminsky, Playground founder Colin Callender and the company’s executive creative director Sophie Gardiner are executive producers.
