C4 houses more Stath Lets Flats

Channel 4 in the UK has recommissioned comedy series Stath Lets Flats from writer-performer Jamie Demetriou and production company Roughcut TV.

C4 has ordered a 6×30′ second season of the show, which follows an incompetent Greek-Cypriot lettings agent, played by Demetriou, who represents an unreliable agency in London run by his father (Christos Stergioglou).

It also stars Katy Wix, Dustin Demri-Burns, Natasia Demetriou and Alistair Roberts.

The show was commissioned by Fiona McDermott, head of comedy at C4 and will be overseen by Jack Bayles and Jon Petrie as commissioning editors at C4.

It will be executive produced by Roughcut TV MD Ash Atalla and Jamie Demetriou and produced by Seb Barwell. Season two will be written by Jamie Demetriou and the script editor will be Robert Popper (Friday Night Dinner). The series was developed from Channel 4’s Blaps, the broadcaster’s online comedy showcase.
