C4 hires digital commissioners

UK terrestrial broadcaster Channel 4 has appointed three commissioning editors to focus on digital-first content for its OTT service All 4.

Joshua Buckingham, Pegah Farahmand and Thom Gulseven have all been given newly created commissioning editor roles reporting to All 4 managing editor Charlie Palmer.

Buckingham was previously a producer for Endemol Shine, while Farahmand joined Channel 4 from Vice Media last year as editor of Random Acts, a role she will retain in addition to her new responsibilities.

Gulseven was previously a senior producer within Channel 4 Online and has also held content editor posts at MSN and Elsevier.

The trio will be responsible for commissioning and curating a range of themed collections made up of original and acquired short-, mid- and long-form programming.

The new content will sit alongside the existing live TV and catch-up offering from Channel 4’s linear channels as well as box sets of its most iconic series.

The All 4 commissioning team will work through Palmer into head of All 4 and digital content Richard Davidson-Houston. Editorial leadership for original content will be provided by deputy chief creative officer Ralph Lee.

Supporting the commissioning editors in the origination and development of new series, the All 4 Commissioning team is completed by Todd Florance, Lizzy Keene and Daisy Mount as editors for All 4.

In other news, Channel 4 has greenlit seventh and eighth seasons of its rebooted quiz show Fifteen to One from Argonon-owned prodco Remedy Productions. The order totals 100 hour-long episodes.
