C21 launches Big Picture Network

C21Media has launched The Big Picture Network, an initiative to support positive change across and through the content business.

The Big Picture Network will have four key areas of focus: inclusivity & diversity, sustainability & environment, business practice & operations, and content & storytelling.

It will assemble an advisory board and partnerships to consolidate its mission, beginning operations in late 2021.

The network will showcase, amplify and connect a raft of initiatives that contribute towards positive change. It will be specifically designed for small to medium-sized companies in the content business to access the thinking and resources needed to improve in each of the areas of focus.

C21’s editor-in-chief & managing director David Jenkinson said: “Like many, we spent 2020 revisiting our approach to life as well as business. We have worked hard to put inclusivity at the heart of our mission, and to run the company with policies that put the wellbeing of staff first. But there’s lots more we can do to widen our perspective and imagine a bigger picture that contributes to further positive change. This feels like the right year to do it.

“There are many organisations doing great work in this space. Big Picture Network’s mission will be to aggregate this work and connect the content business to the best ideas and information. We will also use this process to help us understand how to programme and run our own business better.”
