C21 Digital Screenings unveils Theme Festivals

C21DIGITALSCREENINGSWith most new productions on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, distributors are seeing a boom in demand for finished programming as buyers look for alternatives to fill holes in their schedules.

Leading players believe the pandemic will open up the playing field for distributors by enabling shows to reach platforms they may have failed to reach before.

Buyers are being more experimental in the shows that they buy, and as they lose original commissions, are looking more broadly at content from tape that they can put into their schedules.

To support the demand for finished tape programming, C21 Digital Screenings has launched a series of genre-focused Theme Festivals, which will run every two weeks on the world’s leading online programme market from May.
