C More, Nordisk Film sign movie deal

Knives Out will be among the first new films to land on C More

Finnish broadcaster MTV has signed an exclusive content deal for its streaming service C More with production and distribution firm Nordisk Film.

MTV will acquire the first pay TV rights to the new Finnish, Nordic and US films Nordisk Film brings to the market every year, as well as the rights to broadcast Nordisk Film’s own local and international films.

The first films to land on C More in November will be Knives Out, Bombshell and 1917.

New local films that go into production in 2021 will be available on C More in 2022.

“We have listened to our consumers. They have wished for more films on C More. Nordisk Film is the best possible partner for this. Our aim is to be the best possible home of local content,” said Marko Karvo, chief content officer at MTV.
