Buie joins WE tv for development

NEWS BRIEF: US cable network WE tv has hired Ashley McFarlin Buie as VP of development, based in New York and reporting to senior VP of original programming and development David Stefanou.

Buie will oversee new and developing projects for WE tv and will executive produce Beyond the Pole. She previously worked on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac, The First Family of Hip Hop and Southern Charm New Orleans, and also produced VH1’s Meet The Mackies.
