Buhaj upped to Disney Branded TV role

Disney has promoted Marc Buhaj to VP of unscripted series and specials for Disney Branded Television.

Buhaj has worked at Disney for 14 years and was most recently senior VP of programming and general manager for cablenet Disney XD.

He joined the company in 2007 as senior VP of programming for its now defunct channel Jetix Europe before becoming VP of original programming for Disney Channels Europe, the Middle East and Africa and leading international original series and copros for Disney Television Animation.

In his new role at Disney Branded Television, Buhaj will oversee a non-fiction portfolio of documentaries, docuseries, unscripted formats, variety shows and specials for Disney+ and unscripted series and specials for Disney Channels.

Reporting to Buhaj for Disney+ general audience content development are: Nicole Silveira, director of unscripted formats; Marjon Javadi, director of documentaries and docuseries; Meghan de Boer, director of variety and specials; and Jordan Gilbert, director of shortform.

Reporting to Buhaj for Disney Channels content development is Claire McCabe, VP of alternative programming.
