Britbox seals Endemol Shine, Kew deals

BBC police drama Line of Duty has joined the BritBox line-up

MIPCOM: BBC and ITV joint venture Britbox has agreed content deals with distributors Endemol Shine International and Kew Media Distribution to bolster its library.

The deals, closed this week at Mipcom, will bring more than 250 hours of content to the streamer in the US and Canada.

BritBox will expand its roster of UK shows with dramas Line of Duty, Thorne: Sleepyhead and Thorne: Scaredy Cat, plus popular BBC1 gameshow Pointless.

Also included are comedy panel show 8 out of 10 Cats, hosted by Jimmy Carr, and spy drama MI5 (aka Spooks), starring Peter Firth, Matthew Macfayden and Keeley Hawes.
