Period show Fort Puleyne is written and created by Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley, B Positive) and Humphrey Ker (Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet). Evany Rosen (New Eden) is also on the writing team.

Middleditch recently finished a six-season run on HBO’s Silicon Valley and is currently starring in Chuck Lorre’s CBS comedy B Positive. Ker, meanwhile, is writing and appearing on season two of Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest.

Fort Puleyne follows an optimistic young Canadian officer who leads a misfit British Army unit during the War of 1812, stationed in a forgotten backwater garrison.

Brightlight’s recent credits include The Good Doctor on ABC, Julie & the Phantoms on Netflix and Amazon’s Upload, while Pier 21 is behind Canadian comedies Call Me Fitz and The Beaverton.

“Thomas and Humphrey have created something really special with Fort Puleyne,” said Shawn Williamson, president of Brightlight Pictures, who will exec produce the show along with Brightlight’s director of development, Jameson Parker.
