Brazil’s GloboPlay enters Inner Circle

Swedish political thriller The Inner Circle will drop on GloboPlay

Brazilian broadcast giant TV Globo has closed a deal for five titles from UK-based distributor DRG’s catalogue for its SVoD service GloboPlay.

The content includes Swedish political thriller The Inner Circle (8×60’), Norwegian dramedy Melk (10×30’), UK drama The Cry (4×60’), documentary North Korea: Voices From the Secret State (1×60’) and true crime story The Oslo Killing (6×60’).

“We are delighted that TV Globo has put its faith in our content for its impressive Globoplay service and I am especially pleased to see two of our most recent Scandinavian dramas on the list,” said Scott Kirkpatrick, senior VP Americas at DRG, which is part of Nordic Entertainment Group.

“Scandinavia consistently produces top-quality gripping thrillers and delightfully funny comedies, and with Latin America’s growing appetite for well-made international scripted content I am confident many more from our rapidly expanding slate will soon follow in the region.”
