Brain Power promotes duo

Canadian producer and distributor Brain Power Studio has promoted two of its executives as the company grows its slate.

Stan Hum has been upped to executive VP of business development and distribution, while Nancy Yeaman has been named executive VP of kids and original content.

Both report to Brain Power founder and CEO Beth Stevenson.

The newly created positions will help to manage Brain Power’s primetime and kids slates over 2020, the company said.

Hum joined Brain Power in 2016 as a sales and business development consultant, having previously held sales roles at eOne, Phase 4 Films and HMV.

Prior to Brain Power, executive producer Yeaman held senior development positions at Portfolio Entertainment and Wild Brain.

“These new roles allow them further focus and autonomy, and will lead the team to strengthen our slate and distribution expansion into our next phase of growth,” said Stevenson.
