Brain Power Studio’s A Very Country Christmas

Canadian producer and distributor Brain Power Studio is set to produce a flurry of adaptations of romantic novels from publisher Harlequin.

Brain Power Studio and Harlequin have signed an agreement that builds on the relationship between the two companies that has seen them partner on eights films already.

The pact raises Harlequin’s equity stake in the movies and gives Brain Power Studio further access to the collection so it can increase the number it produces each year.

Harlequin currently releases more than 100 books a month in 34 languages. Among the titles adapted by Brain Power Studio so far are A Very Country Christmas, Christmas with a Prince, My Perfect Romance and Christmas Wedding Planner.

Broadcasters and platforms that already air the Harlequin movies include Netflix, Channel 5 in UK, Super Channel in Canada and M6 in France.
