Nick exec Feniger joins Boomerang

Time Warner companies Turner and Warner Bros have appointed a former Nickelodeon exec as the VP and general manager of their SVoD service Boomerang.

Sundance Feniger

Sundance Feniger, formerly the senior director of product strategy and development at Viacom-owned Nickelodeon, will oversee the recently launched streamer.

A joint venture between Turner and Warner Bros Digital Networks Group, the SVoD version of Cartoon Network’s sibling channel Boomerang features new and classic content drawn from the extensive Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes and MGM animation libraries.

The newly created role will see Feniger lead the overall Boomerang streaming business across all functions and work with Warner Bros-owned DramaFever on technology. He will report to both companies.

“Sundance has a passion for kids content and animation. He also has the technical and data background to understand the underlying business,” said Turner and Warner Bros in a joint statement.

During his time at Nickelodeon, Feniger developed the strategy for Viacom’s first mobile subscription VoD service, Noggin, and also worked in the kids network’s games group.
