Bomanbridge hires for new India office

Singapore-based producer and distributor Bomanbridge Media is continuing its Asian expansion by opening an office in India, to be led by a former FremantleMedia exec.

The Mumbai-based hub marks the company’s fourth base after it recently opened offices in Korea and Mongolia and hired execs from FremantleMedia Asia and MBC to run them.

Former head of operations at FremantleMedia India, Arpit Agarwal, will join the firm as director of sales for South Asia. During his 18-year career, the exec has held top-level roles at Asian prodcos Balaji Telefilms, Bang Singapore and Sahara One.

Bomanbridge’s expansion follows an investment from Hera Capital, which is also funding the firm’s first original show, Haute & Saucy With Kelly Randall Sia.

“India has always been one of our stronger territories in the region and we look forward to enhancing our presence there to better serve our partners,” said Bomanbridge CEO Sonia Fleck.
