Boat Rocker to drive Mountain Road

The sales arm of Canada’s newly formed Boat Rocker Media has acquired worldwide distribution rights to the Mountain Road Productions library, which includes almost 200 hours of television.

Canada-based Mountain Road’s agreement with Boat Rocker Rights also includes a first look deal on new productions and 14 series.

The arrangement consists of crane reality show Heavy Lifting (10×60’), which was produced for Historia in French Canada, DIY series I Wrecked My House (14 x30’ + 1×60’) produced for HGTV Canada, and real estate-focused Selling Big (26×30’), produced for Blue Ant Media’s Cottage Life.

Other Mountain Road shows to be distributed by Boat Rocker include: Sheltered (4×30’); All for Nothing (39×60’); Weekend Reno (13×30’); The Real Estate Adventures of Sandy & Maryse (10×30’); The Restaurant Adventures of Caroline & Dave (13×30’); Gourds (1×30); Guts & Glory (1×30’); Lofty Ideas (65×30’); Design U (52×30’); Me, My House and I (52×30’); Broken House Chronicles (32×30’); and Be Real (13×30’).

Last month Boat Rocker secured distribution rights to scripted series Young Drunk Punk, which airs on Canada’s CityTV and CBC.

The deal marked its first third-party scripted acquisition since it emerged out of the restructure of Orphan Black producer Temple Street Productions.
