Marci Wiseman, exec VP of global production and business affairs at eOne Television, and Jeremy Gold, exec VP at Endemol Shine Studios, have joined the LA-based company.

The newly created roles will help to expand to expand Blumhouse Television, the TV arm of Paranormal Activity producer Blumhouse Productions, into new areas, the company said.

In television, the company currently has first-look deals with Universal Cable Productions and Universal Television.

Jessica Rhoades, who launched the TV arm of Blumhouse and had led it up until now, will serve as exec VP and head of programming and development.

Blumhouse’s slate of scripted and unscripted series includes HBO’s Sharp Objects, Hellevator on GSN and Judgment Day on Discovery ID.

Gold and Wiseman will now lead the company’s ongoing expansion of scripted and unscripted television. They will be based in LA and will report to Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum and president Charles Layton.

Wiseman arrives at Blumhouse having spent just over a year at eOne to run its fledgling global business and legal affairs unit.

Before joining eOne last year, Wiseman spent many years at AMC, where she launched AMC Studios and brokered the cable group’s first exclusive SVoD deal with Netflix in 2011.

She also helped launch AMC’s foray into international coproduction, concluding deals for shows such as Humans and The Night Manager.

Gold, meanwhile, introduced Endemol USA into the scripted television space when he joined the reality television company in 2008 as senior VP of scripted programming.

Prior to joining Endemol, Gold was senior VP of comedy at Fox Broadcasting Company, where he developed series including American Dad, The Simple Life, and ‘Til Death.

“Blumhouse is committed to telling genre stories across all screens and we are so excited to take our television division to the next level,” said Blum.

In a joint statement, Gold and Wiseman added: “After more than a decade of working together on many projects, buying and selling series to each other, we are so excited to officially collaborate as true business and creative partners.”
