Blue Ant floats Zeppelin deal

Canada’s Blue Ant International has struck an exclusive two-year first-look distribution deal with new UK producer Zeppelin Films.

Elliot Reed

The deal gives Blue Ant format and distribution rights to all future Zeppelin content until 2021 and includes two recently announced commissions, Rich Kids Go Homeless (6×60’) and Respect Your Elders (4×60’).

Rich Kids Go Homeless follows wealthy British 20-somethings who experience life on the streets for three days, while Respect Your Elders sees a young person living with a 70-year-old.

Zeppelin was launched earlier this year by former BBC commissioning editor Elliot Reed, who has been behind shows including factual drama Murdered By My Father, Professor Green: Suicide & Me and Trust Me I’m a Doctor.

The deal was brokered by Blue Ant’s VP of international sales and acquisitions, Alex Maldini.
