Blue Ant, Boutique cast Illusionism

MIPJUNIOR: Blue Ant Media’s Toronto-based animation studio Look Mom! Productions is coproducing a new kids series with Brazilian prodco Boutique Films and is discussing presales in Cannes this weekend.

Look Mom!, launched a year ago, and Boutique are working on Great Hotel Rudini of Illusionism as a treaty coproduction with fellow animation studio Birdo.

The 26×11’ series is scheduled for delivery in 2020 and is available for presales via Blue Ant International, the company’s distribution arm, at MipJunior and Mipcom this week.

The plot focuses on a once renowned meeting place for illusionists which is being brought to its former magical glory by a young magician.

It joins Gary and His Demons, which premiered in the US on the Mondo Channel earlier this year, on Look Mom!’s slate.

Boutique Filmes, based in Sao Paulo since 2013, is the production company responsible for the first Brazilian Netflix original series, 3%.
